The electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry can analyze impurities and contaminants in various materials in a range of a part per millions (ppm) to a part per billions (ppb) and a part per trillions (ppt).
JEF-TEC has a facility to operate the electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometer in a clean room for the ultra-trace analysis.

  • JEF-TEC has expertise and experience with use of a very small quantity of the sample with a high content of impurities as well as the sample with a very low content of impurities after concentration, thus enabling the analysis at a range of a part per billion (ppb) (in some cases a part per trillion (ppt) depending on the elements to be quantified).
  • The electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry can be applied to the analysis of liquid samples containing undissolved components such as suspensions and emulsions.
  • High-sensitivity analysis of biological samples and other organic substances can be performed with the electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry.

Analysis Examples

Analysis of Iron (Fe) and Chromium (Cr) in Aluminum Nitride

A sample is decomposed with sulfuric acid in a pressure vessel and the decomposed solution obtained is directly injected to the electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometer for analysis.

Oils are digested by cylinder combustion to release gases which are absorbed by a magnesium nitrate solution as a modifier for analysis.
