In order to satisfy both auto body weight reduction for improved fuel efficiency, and higher strength/stiffness for improved crashworthiness and drivability, various elements must be achieved at a high order in the development of an automobile body. As basic data for this, investigation of the structure and selection of materials (strength of basic materials, use of coated materials or not, etc.) of existing automobile bodies is extremely important.

In JFE-TEC's “Auto Body Dismantling and Structural/Material Investigation,” it is possible to propose, select and combine the content of the investigation and the specific investigation items in line with the needs of the individual client in order to respond accurately to what the client wants to know.

Major Flow of Auto Body Dismantling/Investigation Work

(1) 
Discussion of the dismantling/investigation specification (investigation items, procedure) with the client, and decision of the specification.
(2) 
Receipt of the object automobile body. JFE-TEC can receive autos either in the body-in-white condition or the actual automobile condition. It is also possible to dismantle actual automobiles, in which the suspension parts, etc. are in a drivable condition, to the body-in-white condition.
