Numerical Analysis (CAE)
Details of JFE-TEC's CAE Solutions
Solutions unique to JFE Techno Research knowledgeable of materials
A number of our staff members with much experience in numerical analysis will help you solve your technical problems.
JFE-TEC provides solutions responding to various analysis needs ranging from numerical analysis using general-purpose analysis software to creation of a simulation tool and provision of consultation.
Advice on numerical analysis
FEM and FVM are not good at everything.
Even if you are uncertain whether the material can be analyzed, our staff members familiar with materials would provide you with advice. You can also obtain data on the material necessary for a simulation from fatigue/vibration testing.
* FEM: Finite Element Method
* FVM: Finite Volume Method
Track record of a large number of non-linear analyses
For non-linear analysis in FEM or FVM, experience is an important factor.
Our staff members having much experience with track record of a large number of non-linear analyses in creating models and meshes will help you solve your problems.
You can also rely on us for coupled analysis
In the field of coupled analysis, we have achieved a number of results for applications such as structure and fluid, heat and stress/deformation/flow, and electromagnetism and heat, regardless of whether the analysis is semi-coupled analysis or fully-coupled analysis.
JFE-TEC can also create dedicated analysis tools
We can create an analysis tool for your theory.
We can also create development support software for visualizing an analysis tool, organizing analysis data, etc.
Steps toward solving a problem
-
In a problem-solving approach, we solve the customer's problem in cooperation with the customer, starting with the definition of the analysis conditions (phenomenon, model, mesh, material, boundary condition).
In a commissioned-solution approach, we conduct analysis based on the customer's designation/instruction on factors ranging from the analysis method to the solver.
We can take any of both approaches.
We will take all possible measures to ensure confidentiality and security of your problem, data, etc.

Heat transfer analysis
Ambient temperature, thermal conductivity, specific heat
Fluid analysis
- Flow rate, temperature, viscosity coefficient, density, thermal conductivity, specific heat, coefficient of friction
Magnetic field analysis
- Electrical resistivity (electrical conductivity), relative permeability
We conduct simulation using the above values.
Why don't you ask commissioned analysis based on FEM or FVM?
Advantages of FEM/FVM analysis
-
- Analysis of a complex-shape model
- Reproducible/compatible result Substitution for demonstration test of a large product
- Low cost (easy to conduct case study)
- Evaluation/clarification of an unmeasurable internal phenomenon
- Analysis under ultimate or ideal conditions
- Non-linear problem to which an exact solution cannot be obtained
