Introduction of the Fellows
Kaoru SATO Ph.D
Kaoru SATO Specialty; Electron microscopy and microbeam analysis
What cannot be seen or measured cannot be controlled
I am an expert on electron microscopy. My forte is material/surface design based on microstructure analysis. I am also actively engaged in advanced analysis using synchrotron radiation and neutrons.
We have now entered a new era when observational science is leading the exploration of substance and material design/development. It is impossible to find hidden treasure if we are constantly fumbling around in the darkness. By shining a light of advanced analytical sciences, we can come to "see" the controlling factors of material characteristics. We are constantly improving our analytical techniques on a target-driven (problem-solving) basis.
We can offer solutions to our clients by shedding light on the true nature of material by taking full advantage of the microbeam analysis at the micro- and nano-level.
