Bendability Test of Stentgrafts
In-page menu
Evaluation of bendability necessary to prevent kinks, etc.
Outline of Measurement Technology
Stentgrafts are medical devices used to implant stents in artificial blood vessels. Since it is important to understand their bendability, bendability properties such as maximum bending load, load per unit angle, etc. are evaluated from the bending angle-bending load curve when one end of a stent graft is held and the other end is rotated along an arc. In case of small diameter stents, a 3-point bending test or cantilever bending test is performed.
The test jigs and test conditions conform to "JIS T 0401 Mechanical testing methods for stentgrafts."
