Evaluation of Medical Equipment/Implant Materials
Tensile Test and Fatigue Test of Implant Wires
Evaluation of tensile strength and fatigue strength of metallic wires under cyclic loading.
Outline of Test Method
Titanium, titanium alloy and stainless steel wires are widely used in the medical field, for example, in dentistry, catheters and fixation of broken bones. Use of a dedicated tensile test jig makes it possible to perform tensile tests and fatigue tests with higher accuracy by gripping the wire sample without causing stress concentration.
